At Woodenbong Central School, we provide a range of technology to support student learning. we have class sets of notebooks available for students to use during lessons as needed.
We also have a dedicated computer lab that students use for various learning activities.
Additionally, our class sets of iPads offer another valuable resource, giving students access to interactive and engaging digital learning tools.
Science Labs for Hands-On Experiments
At Woodenbong Central School, our science labs provide the perfect balance of learning spaces. Students have dedicated areas for theory lessons as well as fully equipped “wet” labs where they can engage in hands-on experiments, bringing science concepts to life through practical experience.
Sports Fields for Fitness and Fun
At Woodenbong Central School, staying active and having fun go hand in hand! Our school features a Stadium where students can enjoy a wide range of sports and activities.
The Stadium is also equipped with various gym equipment to help students build strength and fitness.
In addition, we have an onsite tennis court available for students to practice and play.
We’re proud to connect with our local community, giving students access to fantastic facilities such as the local swimming pool, town sports oval, and the town common, where we hold our exciting cross-country events.
Library
Our school library is a large, bright, and comfortable learning space filled with a wide range of reading and learning resources. Students enjoy using the library for quiet study or borrowing books to take home and explore.
We are always updating our collection with new books, ensuring there’s always something fresh and exciting for students to read and learn from.
Creative Arts Facilities
Woodenbong Central School boasts a fantastic art room filled with excellent resources, where students can explore their creativity and produce amazing artworks using a variety of different mediums.
We also have a spacious assembly hall, where students have access to a range of musical instruments to learn and perform, nurturing their musical talents and confidence.
Industrial Arts Facilities
At Woodenbong Central School, our Industrial Arts rooms have been recently refurbished to provide state-of-the-art equipment for Timber Technology and Metal Technology studies. Featuring new workbenches, saws, lathes, and other essential tools, this facility enables students to develop practical skills and create high-quality projects in a hands-on learning environment.
Hospitality Trade Training Centre
Our Hospitality Trade Training Centre, opened in 2013, features a modern stainless-steel kitchen equipped with gas cooktops, ovens, and a barista coffee machine. This facility adjoins our Food Technology bays, providing students with hands-on opportunities to develop cooking skills and prepare culinary delights. It also supports Year 11 and 12 students undertaking Certificate III in Hospitality, including training in coffee making and other industry-relevant skills.
Agricultural Farm
Woodenbong Central School’s Ag Farm provides students with hands-on practical lessons in Agriculture and Primary Industries. Students care for animals and develop essential skills by completing competencies such as fencing, animal husbandry, crop management, and equipment operation. This experience equips them with valuable knowledge for real-world agricultural practices.
Outdoor Fun and Sports Training Spaces for Every Student
In 2023, Woodenbong Central School upgraded our primary playground equipment to provide a safe and fun environment for students. We have also added giant Connect 4 games, table tennis tables, and water play equipment for students to enjoy during break times. Our back playground serves as a training area for students participating in representative sports, supporting their physical development and teamwork
