Our Student Captains

At Woodenbong Central School, we are proud to have student captains representing both our Primary and Secondary departments. Our captaincy selection process is designed to be inclusive, engaging students and staff in choosing their leaders.

Primary School Captains

Our Primary School Captains proudly represent the voices and interests of all students in our Primary Department. Students moving from Year 5 to Year 6 prepare and deliver speeches to their fellow primary students and staff, explaining why they would make excellent captains for the upcoming year. After the presentations, both students and staff participate in a vote to elect the Primary School Captains.

Secondary School Captains and Vice-Captains

Year 11 students transitioning into Year 12 nominate themselves to stand for captaincy. They present their speeches to students from Years 6 to 11 and staff, outlining their suitability for the roles. Following this, all students and staff cast their votes to elect the Secondary School Captains and Vice-Captains to represent Woodenbong Central School.

Our Student Leadership Pledge

All students elected as captains and vice-captains at Woodenbong Central School proudly sign the Student Leadership Pledge. This pledge acknowledges their commitment to their important roles and responsibilities. As leaders, they will endeavour to:
