🐄 Show Cattle Agriculture Team – 2026 🐄

Woodenbong Central School students who have shown interest are invited to join the Show Cattle Agriculture Team, held after school on Thursday afternoons at the Woodenbong Central School Agriculture Farm.

📅 Commences: Thursday 19 February 2026
📅 Concludes: Thursday 17 December 2026
Time: 3:30pm – 4:30pm
📍 Location: Woodenbong Central School Agriculture Farm
Unumgar Street, Woodenbong NSW 2476

The team will prepare show cattle to parade and groom steers at local shows throughout the Northern Rivers region.

Important Information:

🐄 Students will walk from school to the Ag Farm at 3:30pm under staff supervision.
🐄 Pick-up time is 4:40pm from the Ag Farm. Parents/carers are required to collect students promptly.
🐄 Parents will be notified if a session is cancelled (e.g. wet weather or staff absence).
🐄 This program will run throughout the school year.

What to Bring:

👕 A change of clothes (to protect school uniform)
👟 Flat, enclosed, comfortable footwear
💧 Water bottle
🥪 Snacks

Secondary students have been invited to participate in a Futsal Gala Day in Armidale, organised by the Australian Futsal Association.

Games Venue: The Den, Armidale Secondary College
182 Butler Street, Armidale NSW
Accommodation: Armidale Tourist Park (cabins – linen provided)

🚌 Transport

Students will travel by chartered bus and will be supervised by school staff for the duration of the trip.

  • Full school uniform for travel
  • Black shorts, long socks and suitable footwear for playing
  • Shin pads and jerseys will be provided

🌟 Year 12 Captains Leadership Excursion – Parliament of NSW 🏛️

Our Year 12 School Captains are heading to Sydney from 24th to 26th March 2026 to take part in the annual Secondary School Student Leadership Program at the Parliament of NSW! ✈️

Accompanied by Principal Miss A-M Mason, our captains will join student leaders from Bonalbo Central School, Kyogle High School and Nimbin Central School for this exciting and inspiring opportunity.

During their visit, students will:
✨ Strengthen their leadership skills
🏛️ Learn firsthand about the NSW parliamentary process
🤝 Connect with other student leaders from across the region
🌱 Represent Woodenbong Central School with pride

Students will fly from Ballina to Sydney and stay at Metro Sydney Central for two nights.

We are incredibly proud of our captains and can’t wait to hear all about their experience when they return! 👏💙

On Wednesday 1st April, our students will enjoy a wonderful day of activities, fun and friendly competition! 🎉

From 9:00 am until lunchtime, students will take part in an Activities Day, with a range of fun and engaging activities to enjoy. 😊

After lunch, all students will head to the showgrounds/town common to participate in the Whole School Cross Country. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ We encourage everyone to do their best, have a go and cheer on their classmates! 👏

🍴 The canteen will be closed.
🌭 The P&C will be running a BBQ lunch outside Bill’s Block for students who would like to purchase their lunch.

Join us on Wednesday 1st April for a big day of fun, family and school spirit at our Easter Hat Parade, Grandparents Day Morning Tea and Whole School Cross Country! 💛

From 9:00 am until recess, students will be busy preparing for the Easter Hat Parade and Grandparents Day Morning Tea. 🎨👒

After recess, our Easter Hat Parade and Grandparents Day celebrations will be held in Bill’s Block and will continue until lunchtime. We look forward to welcoming grandparents and families to enjoy this special event with our students. 💐👵👴
